  • More social justice today. It was boring. In the second session we were supposed to give each other a massage. That reminded me of the geography field trip.

We had a chapel service after lunch. Needless to say, that was boring too, although at least the music was quite good. I almost fell asleep during one of the reflections - it doesn't help that it's Tuesday and I had to come in at 7:30 for planning the synchronised swim. If I'm not coping well with this, I won't survive the 7:00 am maths classes. The maths teacher said it'd be mean to make the choir people quit choir for maths, well, I now have to quit sculpture for maths.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm just saying it. So what if I have sculpture class? It's not a direct clash. Sculpture class isn't at school either. I wouldn't expect the class (maths, not sculpture) to be changed just for me. I'm definitely going to keep going this term. (Both of them, even if it means that I'll be falling asleep in one of my lessons on Tuesday!)

  • Group knitting!

Social justice day was boring. Who wants to listen to those long boring speeches? Not me. The first part was the worse. I liked the knitting session though. I haven't done much knitting in the past year or two - I keep losing my needles and never finish anything. I keep getting distracted too - it's totally "one of these day I'm gonna stop saying one of these days" for me.

Not having to go to lessons was actually a good thing because I had so much homework to catch up on, but there's still maths extension 2 even if the regular lessons are cancelled. What's more, the class has decided on lesson times - which turn out to be the worst possible: Tuesday morning 7:00 am! May be it'll mean no more sculpture for me? No, it won't. I'm not quitting sculpture (at least not until the end of this term) even if it means falling asleep in maths.

    Sculpture

Sculpture class was alright. No model today, and most of the class is here. I spent most of the lesson hollowing out the same piece that I've been working on for the last two lessons. I'm going to miss my next lesson - I told the teacher about it twice, and she still scheduled the model for next week. Apparently a really popular one that's hard to get too. Missing the next lesson also means that I won't get to work on my current piece until two weeks later. It doesn't help that I'll probably be late for the lesson on that week, because of... guess what, extension 2 maths! Such bad timing! If this is anything to go by, I'm going to hate the new time table.

  • I just came home from the social! I'm glad that I went. It was fun!

We were on this boat called the Lady Rose Catamaran.
    Lady Rose Catamaran

Look at the pretty strobe lights! It was still dark enough for me to spotlight people with my torch though.
    Colourful lights!

I never expected myself to be able to dance for the whole time. I took lots of photos though, even with people whose names I don't remember...

I won the "most creative + interesting web developer" award!

the 'most creative + interesting web developer' award

I thought that if I got an award it'd be the weird obsession one that some people voted me for, but I got this one, and it was the first award to be announced too. This site is famous! Yay! xD

  • Today was a good day at school.

I got the economics competition results back, and I was one of the four people in my class that got credit. No one in the class got distinction either.

    Economics competition certificate

In chemistry, we were doing experiments - the first one was really repetitive! May be I should've kept biology instead - chemistry seems to be getting more and more repetitive, and I think biology is starting to stop being repetitive. Oh well, too late. I like chemistry better anyway. The second experiment was cool - colour changes are fun! Look what Nancy has done!

    Ooh, impressive!

    Isn't it impressive?

During lunch time, I finally started on what I planned. I might even get to finish it tomorrow!

The video in religion class finished early. Just what I needed!

  • Another busy Monday... Well, not so busy this week because the after school maths class was cancelled, but still. My evening class is still the main reason why I'm so busy. Hardly anyone turned up today, it was so quiet! I was the first one to arrive, and three other people turned up about ten minutes late. Typical. I'm always early for everything?

No photos tonight because I just continued on what I was doing last week. Hopefully I can finish it off next week and fire it. Wait, I'll miss the lesson on week four, so it'd be like half way through the term by the time I finish this, glazing and firing and all that. I was hoping to have a chance to make clay mice... Oh well, there'll still be half a term to go. Meaning that there'll be at least half a term when I turn up to school on Tuesday morning really tired. I hope I get a Tuesday morning spare when I get my new timetable.

  • You know you have more than enough in your pencil case when... someone calls you a walking stationery shop. Of course, I expected that - if Serena is "candy shop" then I'm definitely qualified to be "stationery shop".

Really, a teacher called me a stationery shop and went through my pencil case today... It was embarrassing, she saw the knife that I had in there, and there comes the joke that I have a bomb in the boxes that contained staples.

I should sit at the back next time. Or may be get an opaque pencil case. (well may be not, since that'll just make her look again)

Oh well, at least she wasn't going through my black bag. If she did that I'd be attacking her with the knife.

  • Tuesday is the day to be tired for me. Of course I'm tired, look how much I did on Monday!

The train in the morning was delayed because of signal problems, what a bad start. My dad had to drive me to school. You know it's not a good idea to wait for the train when the 6:45 train (no, that's not the train I take) hasn't arrived by 7:20.

Somehow, I actually managed to be alert during my chemistry class and call out as usual. Of course, that's what usually happens on Tuesdays: I make myself get through chemistry, and I really start to run out of energy in biology. Today the biology teacher didn't even turn up... Perfect opportunity for me to do my English homework so I can focus on catching up with maths.

The plan for house time didn't work... I'll have to plan it for next week. May be I can even get out of biology to do what I planned.

Today I got two new cards: a concession card and a learner driver licence. Today being Tuesday, I obviously don't look so good. I think I look really annoyed in it - obviously tired and not in a good mood?

I realised that the maths catching up isn't really that much. It'll all be fine - like I said, I'm just saying it when I complained about catching up.

I'm really tired. At least I should be alright by tomorrow.

  • First day back at school! It's the normal busy Monday for me.

I carried the sticks to school. Luckily, I didn't hit anyone with them. I asked for permission to use the school equipment, and I got it. That's a good start.

Economics class was quite relaxed, we were playing a game in groups, and I was answering most of the questions for my group. Veronica brought a cake that she made for Natasha, and everyone in the class got to have some.
Alexia, Bernie, Veronica, and NatashaWhat a lovely cake!

Since it's Monday, I had to stay after school for maths extension 2. The extension 2 work itself isn't too much of a problem, but I asked the teacher where her class was up to, and her class had just finished the chapter that my current class is starting, and I'm supposed to go to her class next lesson. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CATCH UP? Oh well, it'll be alright. I'm just saying it.

Part of the sculpture classEven with more catching up than I can possibly do, I still get to go to sculpture class! It's my first lesson, and I was the only new person in the class. It was kind of awkward. There was a model posing for the class, so everyone's making a sculpture of the model. Someone said that he'd take a photo of one of the others if he had a camera, so I offered to take the photo on my camera. It was a perfect chance to get a group photo to put up here.

Me and my first sculptureThere are more people in the class. They're all nice, but we don't talk anywhere near as much as the fabric class does. At least I'll still be continuing the tradition of posting photos every Monday. Being the only one in the class with a camera is good because that way I can ask to have my photo taken when other people suggest taking photos, and they can take theirs too. I think my sculpture is going to fall over, I just hope it survives until I go back there next week. xD It's leaning against the wall right now.

  • What's that?

Oh wow, look at that bright light out there! I wonder what it is... There are always interesting things going on outside. Reflections of the sunset that make it look like there are two suns out there, beams of light showing through clouds just like those Bible story scenes, aeroplanes flying over the building that look much closer than they actually are... It's great to live so high up. Well, the only downside is that mobile phone reception up here isn't very good, and it gets really windy sometimes.

Back to school tomorrow! What a coincidence that it's the first day of half term holidays for my friends at SIS... The dates are so well synchronised. I'm not really dreading the first day of term, surprisingly. I guess this proves that it's not novelty that stops me from dreading school, I actually don't mind it now. Of course, may be it's because I have something else to look forward to.

The fabric class was cancelled. At least the Monday class that I used to go to was cancelled, I don't know about the Tuesday class. Not that I can possibly go to the Tuesday class anyway. This would've been something to look forward to, too bad it's cancelled.

Now, while that class was cancelled, it doesn't mean I don't have anything to look forward to, because I signed up for sculpture class this term! That alone is enough to stop me from dreading having to get up early next morning.

It also helps that I have something planned that I need to do at school. Seems like that during the term I plan stuff to do in the holidays, and then I never do them when the holidays come but I plan more stuff to do during the next term... It's like in the song One Of These Days - "One of these days I'm gonna stop saying one of these days"
