Ugh, I feel like I need another break already...
I know, that's such a clichéd thing to say.. xD I didn't do much during the holidays. The most interesting thing was probably Critical Mass. I guess the "Lemon Tree" song thing is still right for me
Come to think of it, there wasn't even that much going on this week. The main thing that tired me out was staying up late to finish off the LNGS2601 assignment. (Once again, I've left it to the last minute.) Actually, running around trying to print it was worse. That 65 MB document was pretty much impossible to print. I think it even jammed some of the printers in the rooms where I tried to print it. I hope the others in those rooms weren't in a hurry. xD (Then again, someone else was printing a 140-page book.) At the end, I actually went to the FedEx on Broadway to get it printed. All that running around... I'm glad I have my bike. xD
I ended up with the same group for my physics tute this week. I arrived early and took a window seat, and it got a bit cold after a while, so we tried to close the window. The problem was that the window opens outwards, and so the handle is outside, which made it difficult to reach. Someone suggested that if we had rope we could make a lasso to pull the window in. Being the "too-much-stuff-girl on a pushbike", I did have a rope with me (just in case I need to tie stuff to my bike). The rest of the group were so surprised. xD (Then again, they don't really know me that well.) We managed to get the handle with the rope and close the window. It'd be funny if we get that table again next week and someone opened the window again. xD
After all those attempts to sell tickets, it was finally the EWB trivia night. I had CFR in the afternoon, so I had to head back to uni from the Asylum Seekers Centre. As usual, I relied on my phone to tell me where to go. Since I actually went there on a one-way street, I had to return via a different route, and the phone actually took me to Hyde Park. I didn't realise that the place was so far north. xD The trivia night went well, except for the beginning where there was quite a hassle with getting the food cooked. I actually knew some science trivia and also a few language-related ones, but I didn't actually remember the one that the other EWB people told me before, and there were a few where it was ironic that I didn't know the answer. xD Luckily, there was someone in my group who knew a lot of the answers. My group wasn't any good at the straw game though. The whole place is covered in straws after that round. xD The event actually continued past its planned end time, and the bar had to close. That was kind of awkward.
I was out again on Friday evening. Starting at Hyde Park, I just followed the group that was supposed to be heading to Alexandria for the bike films. As usual, I had no idea where the group was actually heading. The most interesting thing on the way had to be this sign:
Sheesh... so this actually exists. I've seen many such images online, but this is the first time I've seen a real one .xD Just like the EWB trivia night, the films started and ended later than the planned times. I liked the chalk one, and also the French one about the boy who had to grow into his bike. The group of couriers who did their prize-giving ceremony at the place were scary though. So loud... O.o
I'm glad that someone actually went to the train station with me afterwards. I don't like riding alone in the dark.
If it wasn't for that I don't like riding alone in the dark, I'd have headed out earlier today. There was a Fresh Growers' Market at Pyrmont Park, and it starts at 7. Of course, it only starts getting bright outside at 7, so I don't want to leave home earlier than that. Going right after sunrise was a good idea though. Look at the Pyrmont Bridge in the morning!
I bought so much at the market... I didn't buy flowers, but I took a photo.
And that's another week... I'm so tired. I need to stop going out all the time. xD (Actually, I think I've planned many activities for next week already. Oops. xD)
