  • More overload of things to do…

I finally got around to scanning everything in my sketchbook. I’ve uploaded everything that I drew in the past year to my deviantART gallery (click here). 9 deviations in one day, now that’s a lot! Looking through my sketchbook brings back memories. There’s the umbrella that I always sat under, the mouse heart (the one titled “My Heart Mousy” on dA) that made the maths scientist decide to give me a maths question (and hence causing the whole “maths question first thing on a Monday morning that’s so cruel” thing), the day and night flowers that I drew to convince myself that I know I’m happy with all the choices that I make (long story – I’m not writing that out)… Somehow, most of the ones that were drawn during the school year remind me of what the maths scientist’s comments when I showed him those drawings. Even the newest drawing that I just did two days ago (the mice family in the heart) made me think “you can’t say ‘how do you have time for that’ now”. Then again, I always have “you can’t say that now” ideas, like that time when Marguerite (however you spell that…) made the “she’s a biologist” comment.

On a completely different note, one thing that I hate about TV in Hong Kong is that most programmes have subtitles which are usually full of mistakes. It’s especially bad for English programmes, where the speech and the subtitles don’t match up, and most names have weird transliterations. I’m always the first one to notice, because I just can’t ignore them. Ironically, I used to rely on reading the subtitles when I watched English programmes (mainly documentaries), and that was one of the reasons why I knew so many technical terms in Chinese.

Well, back to my huge to-do list.
