Yay! I made it out alive! (If you’re reading this, you’ll probably know what song I’m referring to.) THE HSC IS OVER!
Not surprisingly, I finished the chemistry paper within half the time that I had. No, I didn’t end up wearing a chemistry t-shirt nor the bracelet. I wore my “You can’t spell smart without art” shirt because my option was chemistry of art. I thought the option would be hard when I looked at the past papers, but it turned out to be really easy.
Surprisingly, one of the invigilators asked me if I wanted to leave, so of course I did. Somehow, for all the exams except for English, my row was the one that fills from the back, so being the last one I sat right at the front, so it was easy for the invigilators to see me. Many people were shocked when I later told them that I finished an hour early. (Even when I left, I noticed Nancy’s shocked face when I got up and turned around to leave.) I actually finished one and a half hours early. I checked over the paper for half an hour.
I was expecting Kelly to have lunch with me, so I waited around until 12:30 anyway. I went around looking for people that I know, but the school was almost empty because it’s camp week. I was expecting the maths scientist to be at school because he said that he wasn’t going on camp, but I couldn’t find him. There were enough people around for me to talk to anyway.
I couldn’t reach Kelly on the phone, so I went to have lunch on my own. I saw some more friends on the way. It was funny how Veronica waved at me when I was crossing the road.
After lunch, I decided to go back to the school and ask for the maths scientist at the office. It was actually quite awkward, because I actually had to tell the office person my name. Luckily, he was actually there. Not surprisingly, he didn’t have a chance to decode my email. At least I had the chance to tell him about the book that I’m reading. Too bad my shock pen didn’t work when I gave it to him to write down the name of the book.
There I go again, the maths scientist again. Oh well, at least this will be the last time. Even the exams are over. I’ve been at MLC for almost two years. Now it’s really over. It’s another new start; another new stage in my life.
