  • I was on TV!

What a place! The most special thing that happened today was the economics excursion. It was to the conference between the RBA people and House of Representatives economics committee in Tattersalls Cafe in the city. Me and the others from my school actually arrived late, so there weren't enough seats for us to sit together. Somehow, I ended up sitting right at the front, behind the governer of the RBA. It was both a good thing and a bad thing.

This doesn't show how bright that light really wasAs you can see from this picture, the worst thing about sitting right at the front was that there was a bright light right in front of me. It was also quite awkward because the person on my left was using his phone to record what the speakers said, and then there was someone else on my right too, and I had my vest with the very full pockets so I had to try to keep curled up. It was even worse when it was time for a break, as the person right in front of me dropped his chair when he was getting up, and guess where it fell! Right on my knees. Overall, it was a very boring excursion. Sure, I could hear everything from where I was sitting, but it's mainly things that I didn't really understand anyway, and it's not really going to be much help for the HSC. I had a feeling that the photographers weren't very happy about me sitting right behind Mr Macfarlane. They must've been trying to get him in the photos while not having me in it.

In the evening when I got home, I realised that there were people filming it as well, and guess what, it was on TV, and I even saw myself peeking out from behind Mr Macfarlane.

It was a very boring excursion, but how often do you get to go somewhere like that?

    All these important people...My group
