  • Happy birthday to Ashley, Joyce, and Lorraine!

Wow, I actually know three people who have the same birthday! (not all in the same year though) One in San Jose, one in Sydney, and one in Hong Kong... Yay for knowing people in different places! That said, for someone whose best friend lives on the other side of the Earth (and NOT because one of us has moved), I don't even know that many people...

It's been a term already... There's so much that happened in this term, I can't even say that I'm "just like Lemon Tree (nothing ever happens)" any more... It is the challenges at this school that helped me realise what I've done before, now I wonder how could I have done that to myself... Yes, I regret it, and I felt guilty about it... I won't let it happen again...

    During this term...

    • The most difficult subject: maths (What a surprise! I've never had to do any maths that's difficult... Well, at least I finally get the challenge I've always wanted...)
    • The most repetitive subject: biology (Well, what can I expect? I've done both modules of year 11 science at SIS, not to mention that I've read books on relevant topics before, even though those were in Chinese and it was at least five years ago... Of course, I'm no one to say anything about repetitiveness anyway, because I did so badly in my biology assessment... At least next term I won't be saying "looks like it's last term all over again", and it'll be too much of a mouthful to say "it's the term before the last one all over again" so I won't say anything...)
    • The best assessment: physics (Before I started at this school, Alice was telling me about having to spend the whole day at school doing physics coursework, which was on the same topic... Of course, the marking system is totally different so we can't really compare...)
    • The worst assessment: biology (I did it all wrong because I didn't know what "report format" meant... Turns out to be just like the coursework format I did before... The most awkward thing being that a teacher actually heard me say "it's this again" when we were doing worksheets, and then she sees my awful result on the assessment... At least that wasn't the teacher we normally have...)
    • The classes that I've blown my whistle in: biology (not with the teacher we normally have though), maths, physics (how it scared the teacher! ), roll call / house time (OK, that's not a class, but then that's actually the time where I use my whistle the most often... Sometimes the teacher doesn't seem to mind, sometimes he does...)

What a term! I'm so glad it's finally the holidays, even though this holiday won't be much of a holiday with all the homework and revision... Now I know what it's like for the others...
