    • Great, I have the school interview arranged for Wednesday, so I have one more day off school… YAY!!!
    • Is it just me or is something wrong with Freewebs? It hasn’t been loading properly for a week or so now… Seems like it’s time to move my site again? I might even have to close my site if I can’t find another host… Where else can I get a free host that allows SSI and doesn’t put ads on my site?
      -EDIT-
It turns out that nothing’s wrong, just that the URL isn’t supposed to have www in it; all the hassle of looking for a new host and it turns out to be such a small thing… *sings* it’s the small things that I do that bring my body down… (not sure if these are the exact words…)
    • Today I went to the beach… Most other people at the beach either sunbathe or play in the water, but not me… Of course, I was having fun digging holes in the sand… At first I thought I’d see how deep I can dig, but digging a trench around the towel (that my sister was lying on) seemed like a better idea, so that’s what I did…

It’s almost as deep as the one in the picture of myself at the beach last time (that was December 2003)…
    • I went to do an entrance test at MLC today… Later on the teacher called and told me that I did well! I’m accepted into the school, so at least now I know I’ll probably go to MLC unless they don’t have the subjects I want…
    • Well, how predictable, no one answered my last post… Not that I can really expect anyone to have saw it, since I only wrote it yesterday… I still want to know if anyone cares to tell me…

    • Look what I bought today! A small toy mouse, a mood bangle, a choker (Leighann, I bet you want that), a rainbow bracelet, a necklace, and two books that I’ve been looking for (#1 and #2 from the new moments in science series, they didn’t have #3 though)…
    • It’s been a week since the year 11 students in SIS are back having classes according to the normal timetable, so there would’ve been at least one lesson of each subject… If you’re in any of the classes that I was in last term, I would gratefully appreciate it if you tell me whether the classes are different without me… Do I make a significant difference? I’d expect English class to be the most different without me since it was such a small class to start with…
    • While all my friends from SIS were at school going through their exam papers, I made a new layout for my site… I don’t have much to do right now, so I’m online almost all the time… Seems like that I actually do really boring things online, like reading the Wikipedia and editing it… Since I’m the MoUsY spell-checker, I often correct the spelling in the English Wikipedia… I’ve started writing in the Chinese one, where I can actually add content to it by translating articles from the English one…
    • I got a new phone!

Not that I didn’t have one, but the old one doesn’t have a speaker… Now this new one is in my room as an extension…

I remember when I was in year 7 or 8, I used to get a lot of phone calls, and I wished that I could join incoming calls to a conference with an existing call, but my phone at that time didn’t allow it… If only I had this phone back then…

Now I have this phone, but I won’t be calling the same people… I remember talking with Jessie on the phone for the whole day, and arranging complicated late-night three-way calls with Leeann (which would’ve been so much easier if I had this phone back then)… At that time, I even found them annoying, but now I almost wish they’ll call me… Well, not really… They don’t know my new number, and even if they do, it’ll never be the same…

    • Wow, after I arrived here, I’ve read more books than I would normally read in a year…

Starting from the book with pink background:

Fidgeting Fat, Exploding Meat & Gobbling Whirly Birds and other delicious science moments – new moments in science #4 by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki: This is interesting… Cats are more likely to survive a 32-floor drop than a 7-floor drop? I want to read the others in the series (#1-3) but I can’t find them, I have #5 and I’ll start reading it soon though…

      and going clockwise….

Clarice Bean Spells Trouble by Lauren Child: Wouldn’t it be funny if the main character from that book (Clarice Bean) met me? She’s a bad speller and I’m the MoUsY spell-checker…

The Darwin Awards II by Wendy Northcutt: Why did I buy this? I can just read all of this on the internet… I think the first one was the best… II and III just aren’t as funny…

Eats, Shites & Leaves by A. Parody: What a name… (the author, not the book) This book is about bad English… It has a collection of quotes that are all over the internet, but at least it’s not like the next one…

THE BEST OF THE WORLD’S STUPIDEST SIGNS: It doesn’t say who the author is, but this is just a collection of stupid signs that are all over the internet, nothing else… This one reminds me of a shop in Hong Kong: “WE CAN REPAIR ANYTHING. (Please knock hard on the door – the bell doesn’t work)” Similarly, the shop in Hong Kong sells lamps, but the lighting on its own advertising sign hardly ever works properly…

iGNOBEL PRiZES by Marc Abrahams: Another one of those parody awards… This is supposed to be funny, but I think most of it isn’t…

iG NOBEL PRiZES 2 – Why Chickens Prefer Beautiful Humans by Marc Abrahams: At least this one has more funny stuff than the first one…

better than chocolate by Siimon Reynolds: It has “50 proven ways to feel happier”, seems like the kind of book I’d read but not really follow? I’m happy anyway, since it’s summer holidays…

FIREWISE, FIRE-SAFE – How to Survive a Bushfire by Richard Whitaker: Another survival book… I read lots of books like that… I remember the time when I was in a PSE lesson in year 9, and the class was split into groups to make decisions about a made up survival situation… Somehow I was chosen as the leader, and I just answered according to what I knew from the books, and it turns out that my score was the second lowest in the class…

ZOBMONDO!! The outrageous book of bizarre choices by Randy Horn: “Would you rather… Eat a small can of cat food OR seven lemons (seeds pulp, juice, and rind)?” I’d rather eat the cat food…

I’ve still got these ones to read:

THE THIRD REICH AT WAR by Michael Veranov: Ashley and Leighann, don’t you wish you can read this too? I don’t even like history, but I’ll eventually finish reading this book with more than 600 pages of small text…

German for Dummies: Yes I’m trying to learn German… There isn’t really a reason why I want to, but who needs one anyway?

Great MYTH CONCEPTIONS by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki: Sounds interesting! I better not start talking about it to my friends though…

Bumbreath Botox and Bubbles and other Fully Sick Science Moments – New Moments in Science # 5 by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki: Let’s see which one’s more interesting, #4 or #5…

    • I still don’t know which school I’ll go to, and I’m kind of worried… What if I end up having to go to a school that’s really far away and I get lost on the first day before I even arrive at school? What if I can’t do the subjects that I want to and end up doing something I hate? Normally, non-selective public schools will have to accept anyone that lives in the area, but in my area there’s only a selective school, so I really don’t know which school I’ll end up going to…
    • Must guard dinner from Gilli!

      There’s nothing for you, Gilli…

    • I arrived here last night. This is my room now… It’s small and almost as messy as my old room already, but at least the view is great and I have access to the internet straight away… Now I just need to unpack, tidy up my room and get used to the time difference…
    • Since I’m in a different time zone now, I’ll have to change the time setting of my Xanga… Now all the old posts will show the wrong time…
