It’s athletics day! I didn’t do well, but I was chosen as the official photographer for the field events! Look at the pictures I took!

Somehow the teacher’s camera didn’t work when I was using it… Could I have jinxed it, just like how I probably did with my song?

It’s Focus Week, but for Crossroads the first day is at school sorting out boxes of books and stationery… The French department donated so many books… Good for those who need the charity, NOT good for us, because we have to take them from D33 to the Interview Room on the ground floor! We had this terrible trolley that’s rusty and not turning properly… There were enough Route Nationale books to fill the trolley five times! Now I know what the metal monster in the English past paper must’ve been like…

At the beginning of the day, the interview room was an absolute mess…

…but look how clean it is at the end!

And look how many boxes of stuff we’ve sorted out!

I don’t know why I didn’t just stay home, I still don’t feel well… I was sick since last Thursday, but I didn’t miss a day of school…

I MADE IT! I SURVIVED A DAY OF SPONSORED SILENCE!!!

OK, I’m exaggerating, it’s not THAT bad, but now I know how much I like to talk, and it’s only too predictable that I actually have something to say when I’m not allowed to talk…

The English lesson was OK, even though there was a lot of discussion in that lesson and I had to write down everything that I wanted to say… Luckily I sit at the front, and the teachers can just read what I wrote… I got more sponsors too… The teachers actually asked the class to sponsor me…

Look how much I had to say in just one lesson!

Chemistry was the one class that I dreaded staying silent for the most, but luckily we were getting test papers back, and that took up most of the lesson… In the remainder of that lesson there was one question that I wanted to call out the answer to, but considering how I normally call out so much it wasn’t too bad, and I even got two more sponsors…

I got quite a lot of attention in French for doing sponsored silence since the teacher announced it to everyone when we were supposed to do a spoken survey… I got away with not doing the speaking though…

Maths was easy since half the class was gone and we worked in almost silent conditions anyway…

In PE I was too busy being dizzy trying to follow the steps, so I didn’t have trouble with silence, and that was the day! There was a choir rehearsal after school, and surprisingly my voice wasn’t very well despite the day of silence…

Anyway, thanks to all of those who sponsored me!

I have to keep silent for the whole day at school tomorrow because I’ll be doing sponsored silence…

To make it worse, I’ll be the only one in my class doing it, because I only have to do it because of an activity that I chose for next week (which I didn’t really have a choice with), and I’m the only one in my year group doing that…

I’m a quiet person and I don’t really have any close friends in school, so it should be easy for me… if it was me a few years ago. At that time, it’ll probably be harder to make me talk…

But this is not the past. While I’m still a quiet person that doesn’t have many friends, I like to call out in class, especially in science… Tomorrow’s science lesson will be torture, I’ll be thinking ‘oh I know the answer! I wish I’m not doing this stupid sponsored silence!’…

Of course, I’ll have to tell each teacher before the lesson starts (I’ll have to communicate by writing on paper), hopefully they’ll give me something to do that doesn’t require talking… May be if I’m lucky some of the teachers will make the whole class work in silent with me… (Yeah right, as if they will)

There’s the excuse that some lessons require speaking and I can’t do the sponsored silence, but then that’s only for drama lessons or if I have to do a presentation, so I can’t use either excuse tomorrow, and this is for charity, so it’ll seem really bad if I don’t even try…
