Month: October 2004

    • I actually brought my good camera to school today, because it’s Prerana’s last day… Tamami came to visit us too… Here are the pictures… If anyone want a copy of the original (bigger) pictures leave a comment… (In the chatterbox if you don’t have a Xanga account)

    • After three weeks in the fridge, these handheld pizzas are finally baked…

The bases are too thick so they weren’t completely cooked inside, and they tasted totally doughy…
    • I’m surprised that some people still remember my song ‘why is our school so imperfect‘… Someone actually asked me to sing it today, and he actually stayed around to listen to most of it unlike how most people only listen to three lines or so…
    • The cross country run was so tiring, but it wasn’t as bad as last time… Running twice around the school is really a lot of exercise for me, I hope tonight I’ll be able to sleep easily…
    • The songs that I have to sing in the choir are so hard… At the first time I was in soprano and I thought my voice wasn’t high enough, so I took the alto part this time, but it turns out that the soprano part was so much easier… Should’ve expected that with my squeaky voice, but my voice is squeaky and not really high pitched, and I think I can’t sing loud enough…
    • This is one of the times when I wish Xanga has something like the LJ cut tag of LJ and its clones, because I have so many pictures to put here! I went to Macau, it was just a one day tour and I took 65 pictures! I had a tough time choosing which ones to put here, but here they are!
I only took one group picture, and I’m definitely putting it here!

The first place the tour took me to is this church… All the decorations inside were so pretty! There was a shop that sells Portugese egg tarts near the church, those were the best food in the whole trip… The traditional Macau house museum looked nice from the outside but I didn’t go in because the tickets weren’t included in the tour…

Then we went to the country park, there were Chinese Zodiac statues and a museum… The museum displays look interesting but I didn’t have time to read everything, but of course I took lots of pictures there…

The lunch in Lion King wasn’t that good, but it’s what I expect for a tour… The restaurant had a fancy ocean theme, even the toilet had fish patterns on it…

After lunch we went to the St.Paul’s ruins, it wasn’t really that interesting, but I took a picture anyway… Then we went to the Macau tower, it was actually quite scary looking down from the part where there was a glass floor and you can look straight down, but of course I went onto the glass and took a picture… There was also a buffet in the spinning restaurant in the tower, and it wasn’t too bad…

That was all of the tour… I might’ve went to other places if it wasn’t so hard to find taxis in Macau, and since I’m in a group of six people, we would need two taxis… It wasn’t a bad trip, and I bought souvenirs, and also some sweets to bring to school on Monday…

    • Remember my song ‘I’m so lonely‘? Guess what, it now has background music! How appropiate that I’m alone at home when recording it… I know how all the lyrics I wrote were so negative and totally not sounding like me; I’m even lonelier now than I was when I wrote those lyrics, but of course I don’t mind being lonely…
    • Look who I saw on the street today!

↑ Ms Novak, her husband and their baby… Ms Novak actually noticed me, I looked as if I didn’t recognise her, that was such a bad time to have my normal confused look… Of course, it was also a good time to have my camera with me, I was just going shopping and not expecting to need the camera for anything… Also, before I forget, Ms Novak said hi to everyone…

    • ↑ This is the original magnetic chain I had… It broke yesterday, and I lost some of the blue beads…

↑ I fixed it… I decided to not use any of the original blue beads and replace them with more colourful beads… Now it’s magnetic and with colours of the rainbow… YAY!

The new beads were more expensive than the original chain itself, but isn’t this new one so much prettier?

    • My magnetic bracelet broke this morning… I lost some of the beads, although I think I have most of the magnetic ones… Now I need to buy extra beads to replace the lost ones…

    • Look what I made during the French lesson today!

Interesting how we get to make better food in French than in food technology… OK, the croque monsieur is just a sandwich with ham and cheese and some kind of sauce that was ready made for us, so it’s not like we had to do anything, but it’s definitely better than making pizza bases, freezing them for a week, adding sauce to them and freeze them for another week before adding toppings…
    • At the beginning of the science lesson there was a role reversal for a while, and I took a video of it, anyone want to see? Just post a comment… It’s really short and not very good, but try getting a good video from the back of the classroom using an unreliable spy camera with no zooming! The image was actually OK, but most of the sound was the noise made by the class (everyone was laughing) and not the speech…
    • Another list that the Keepers will never publish – Top reasons why I don’t like the all day biology investigation:
      1. It’s repetitive (Biology isn’t too bad, but five lessons of it in a row is too much for anyone…)
      2. Too many accidents (Well I suppose it’s just me, I’m totally accident prone not to mention destructive… I’ve broke two delivery tubes, spilled yeast in the water bath, and just generally messed up the area I worked in)
      3. I had to hold the measuring cylinder in place (Especially after I broke the second delivery tube, there weren’t any spares so I had to use the broken one, and I had to keep my hand in the water to hold it in place…)
      4. It’s hard to get measurable results
      5. The place where I stood was in everyone’s way, but that was the only place that had a gas tap and I needed to use a Bunsen burner…
      6. I had to use a Bunsen burner (I hate that)
    • It’s been a year since I’ve made my GJ account (13th October 2003)… I don’t write in it, but I like being able to read my friends’ friends only entries and commenting on them… If I knew about GJ just two weeks earlier, I would probably have ended up using it as my main journal…
(well actually I only noticed this on the 14th, when I made the account on the 13th in 2003, typical how I always manage to miss the days that I made accounts on)
    • If Chai Chai didn’t die, he’ll be eight years old tomorrow… It’s been more than a year since he died, and this is the second time where I posted something like this… May be I should see how many years pass before I forget…
    • I’m surprised to find out that some people at school actually read this site, even though they never comment… I want to know who reads the site, at least the ones from school! Well some people do comment in person, but not on the site… Is it because they’re afraid that I’ll “mess up” their comments pages if I knew their usernames? I know it’s annoying to point out other people’s spelling mistakes, but does that count as “messing up” the comments page? Someone thinks it does, but I don’t think so… I think messing up the page would be something like stretching it, posting too many smileys or something like that…
    • It’s weird that during the past few nights I couldn’t fall asleep until midnight, even though on Tuesday I’ve ran for twenty minutes (OK, I walked most of it, but even that was tiring) and on Wednesday I swam 20 lengths…

Now it’s not even nine o’clock yet, but I’ll have to turn the computer off because it’s supposedly making me too excited to sleep… I’ve been told that it makes my brain too active, if that’s true may be I should go to bed really early, get up a few hours before school and go online…

    • Wow, it’s been a year since I started this Xanga account… I’ve had the chance to create the account on my birthday, but I hesitated and missed the chance… At first I created the account just to comment on Alison and Leeann’s Xanga, but I ended up writing in it even more than they do…

If Leighann (Such similar names… Are the pronounciations actually supposed to be different, like how Aaron and Erin sound almost the same but not quite?) or Ashley told me about GJ just a bit earlier I would’ve ended up writing in it instead, I actually think GJ is better than Xanga, but I’m writing in my Xanga because I started and decided to continue, and also because I know more people that use Xanga…

    • I’ve bought more stuff today! It’s like having a four day shopping spree…

      ↑ More accessories for me!

↑ Yay! Mice! New mice for my collection! Current mouse count:334 (Most of them are tiny, and joint mice are counted as seperate mice)

I bought some clothes too but I’m not going to take pictures of them…
