Month: September 2004

    • I went shopping again today… I bought another bracelet…
    • It’s my birthday today! I went out for dinner, let’s see who’s with me…

Just to make everyone hungry, I’ll put some pictures here…

Of course there’s a cake as well, and of course I got to blow out the candle and cut into the cake…

    • I had pizza for lunch today…

No, it wasn’t me that ate all the toppings and left the base… I never did that, what’s a pizza without the base?
    • Look what I bought today!

↑ Another bracelet, when I have a whole collection of them that I hardly ever wear…

↑ I bought these just because I like them, chances are that I’ll never really use them for anything…

      ↑ YAY a mouse hat!

↑ The mice in the picture aren’t new, and I bought lots of clothes for them too…

↑ New shoes! Seems like most of the shoes I have are boots…
    • I tried to take a picture of the apple pie in the French lesson, but my unreliable spy camera didn’t take anything when I thought it did…

Swimming was so tiring that I’m glad the choir activity was cancelled today… I don’t know what I can do next week, I definitely don’t think I can still sing after swimming…

    • Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! I made a lantern, but the picture’s not turning out right…

The light should much brighter, and there are flowers on the lantern… Is there a way to take a picture of the light?
    • Told you once before and I won’t tell you no more to sit down, sit down, sit down… What else could it be? Of course it’s another one of my songs! It even has background music, it’s not often that I manage to record a song with background music right away…

This song ‘Sit Down’ is an unofficial theme song for my ICT class, get it? The teacher usually takes a long time to get everyone to sit down and be quiet, and he kept saying “keep your hands to yourself”, so this song would be just right for our class! The song is actually from the teacher’s point of view, but it’s not like I can actually get the teacher to sing it, although it would be cool if I can…

Seems like most of my songs are intended to be theme songs of something… Besides this one, there’s the (unofficial) Hillary theme song, ‘Mice Girl‘ and ‘Parody Girl‘ (in a way they’re theme songs for me), and I can even say ‘Why is our school so imperfect‘ and ‘Everyone’s busy‘ are unofficial theme songs for many people at school…

    • The swimming gala might’ve been boring and crowded and hot and everything like that, but it was definitely comfortable compared to the geography field trip…

On the first day there was the dreaded hike, we walked for FIVE HOURS! I brought two litres of water (four bottles of 500 ml each) and it wasn’t even enough! (Well I shouldn’t really have expected it to be enough when I can drink that much at school…) Luckily, Mr McKirdy gave me some more water…

At least I had a spray bottle and a fan… Well actually I had two fans and other people kept asking to use the fans, and Hung Ray borrowed one of them for most of the time… Of course, I kept the better one for myself… I even had an umbrella with me, but it broke so I threw it away…

At the beginning of the day, everyone was saying that I would have a tough time wearing jeans, but when we’re walking through the overgrown area I definitely had it easier than most people… However I was really hot by the end of the hike, but who wasn’t?

When we finally got back to the Lady MacLeHose Holiday Village, it was hardly surprising that everyone was really tired and all that… I was one of the last people to get there… After eating at the canteen, the keys were given out and I went to the bungalow immediately and took a shower, and luckily I did, or I would have to wait for a long time to get to use the bathroom… There was only one bathroom in the bungalow for 6 people…

The dinner was no good, somehow we got vegetarian food, and we had to work after dinner too… All those confusing cross sections…

The second day started out fine; the breakfast was good, way better than the dinner on the first day… The rest of the day wasn’t so good though, we had to walk uphill and through overgrown areas when the teacher said we won’t… Luckily, my group worked really efficiently at measuring the river and all that, so we finished quite early… I’m not in the pictures because I took most of them, but I’ll put some here anyway (especially since Jayde wants to see them so much)

By the end of the day, I was really tired and I got wet and dirty from being in the river, and of course I was really glad to go home… It ends up that I got off the bus (where I was nearly squashed by Hung Ray, what a bad seating arrangement…) at Causeway Bay and walked home…

    • Here’s a list that the Keepers probably won’t publish, so I’ll just put it here: (May be I should put my rejected lists here too)
Top 6 reasons why I don’t like the swimming gala
      1. It’s too hot out there
      2. It’s boring, I hate sitting there for the whole morning… I was so bored that I actually drew a picture and coloured it in while sitting there, and I don’t like colouring…
      3. The place smells of hair spray
      4. It’s noisy… I know this isn’t exactly a good reason because school can be just as noisy, and I suppose it’s better than last year’s athletics day, when Aylward screamed so loud that I actually had to put earplugs in…
      5. The stands are too crowded… (Again, school isn’t really much better)
      6. We had to wait for a long time before the school buses arrive

If anyone wants to add items or vote (+ 1 or -1 for each list item) just comment, I’ll edit the list… (May be I should actually try submitting this to the Keepers…)

I tried taking pictures too, but my proper digital camera just has to run out of electricity when I want to use it, and it uses a propriety battery, so I have to use my spy camera instead… It looks cool but it’s so unreliable… Only one picture turned out right… It’s this one:

It’s Emma holding the paintbrush, but I forgot who was actually being painted on, I think it’s Katie, I only remember it’s someone in 11T…
EDIT: Oops, it was Jayde, not Emma… I was right about that Katie was the one being painted though…

    • I made a new set of cursors! Rainbow coloured of course…
    • Even though there are still 18 days before my birthday, I’ve already recieved some of my presents… Look what I got!

↑This airzooka took long enough to assemble… The top bit kept falling off and I nearly lost one of the screws… It’s OK now, but I’m not really strong enough to use it properly…

↑ This fog blaster takes 6 AA batteries to operate… At first it didn’t even work, it’s OK now as well, but not really as good as I expected it to be…

↑ Look at this tiny camera! The quality’s nothing compared to my slightly bigger digital camera, but it’s a good toy to bring to school… It’s supposed to work well enough with lights in the room so it doesn’t need to flash, and for such a small camera it’s quite good, but it doesn’t work at night…

↑ This glow in the dark putty isn’t that special, but it’s the least disappointing out of the four presents I recieved… All these presents are from my dad, who is now on the way to Australia… (That’s why he gave me the presents so early)

    • I missed the bus after school because I had to show my food tech coursework to the teacher… I really wish I didn’t choose food tech, it’s so boring… I should have chose drama in place of it and then choose something else… Not that I can do anything now, it’s probably too late to change subjects…
    • Surprisingly I wasn’t too tired at school today… I’m glad to find out that I won’t be in the infamous D25 where nothing works for ICT, but that also means I don’t get to find out whether the air conditioner ever got fixed… It’s even more crowded around my new locker than the one last term, it never got this crowded even outside C26, at least not when I’m trying to use the locker… The school bus also became a lot more crowded… Surprisingly that the person I normally sit next to on the bus didn’t notice how my fingers were red from the Congo red food colouring in the biology experiment…
    • School starts tomorrow… I don’t want to go back to school! It must be even worse for those who only come out at night… See you on Saturday, LEIGHann… Well at least I’ll get to see LEEann and the others at school… I haven’t seen Leeann or Alison or Serena for the two whole months of summer, on the contrary I watched three movies with Alice… Three movies are a lot for me, normally I don’t even watch three movies in a year…

During this holiday I managed to record three songs with background music, and I kind of learned to use chopsticks properly… I even learned to wear contact lenses… I haven’t finished validating my site though, not that it really matters since I’m nearly done…
